The Tilburg Byzantine Choir was founded in 1944 during the 2nd world war by the capuchin priests in the Netherlands to provide mass for Russian refugees in Tilburg.
Nearly 80 years later, the choir still exists and celebrated its 75 year jubilee in 2019. The program of performances is still fully planned with many celebrations according to the Byzantine rite, performances at western church services and concerts.
